Rectangular dining table with nicely figured, bevelled rosewood top and polished aluminum Shaker base, model 3571. Designed by Arne Jacobsen originally for the SAS Royal Hotel project in Copenhagen in 1958. Produced by Fritz Hansen c. 1960. Scarce form in this series, more so in rosewood. The top has been lightly refurbished and has a beautiful, uniform tone and patina. The aluminum base is excellent but for some minor wear consistent with age and use. An early and fine example of this sleek, elegant and practical design.
