Denmark
circa 1950s

Model 49 chair by Danish designer Erik Buck, made by the Poul Dinesen cabinet shop, circa 1950s. An early example of this classic design, with great character and patina, pre-dating the mass production run by Oddense. With pegged butt joints, beautifully rounded curves, and high-grade saddle leather. The leather, while aged, remains supple and usable. From an Englewood, NJ estate.

Condition
Good original condition with great patina to both the teak and the leather. Wear to both consistent with age and use. The leather is variegated with age, and has creases but is not cracked and is still supple and usable.
