Set of four chairs with steel frames, a velvet back rest and fabric seat, in a post-modern idiom.  By Manila-born multi-media artist, designer, and physician Joaquin Gasgonia Palencia (b. 1959).  A playful combination of triangles, circles, and fluid lines, with vibrant color for added graphic punch.  Made circa 1995 in the Philippines by Arete-Ugma.  Retain original metal tags marked "Balaico Arete-Ugma Manila" with serial numbers.

Condition
Fine vintage condition.  Minor touch-ups to base.  Minor wear and a few marks to velvet and fabric, consistent with age and use.
