Unusual Paolo Soleri Wind Chime (SOLD)

circa 1970s


Cast bronze and brass wind chime with a tree-of-life element and a second round clapper adjacent to the bell. A discontinued Paolo Soleri design, produced at Arcosanti, circa 1970s. Soleri was a visionary architect and craftsman whose commercial success with his bronze and ceramic windbells helped finance his experimental Community, Arcosanti in Arizona and other causes. The measurements below include the linking pieces; the bell alone measures 5" in diameter x 5.5" high. In near mint condition, not likely ever used. With original kite and maker's mark.
