Hand-thrown and glazed stoneware vase from the Zaalberg atelier in Zuid, Holland, circa 1960s. A studio work by Herman Zaalberg, grandson of the first generation of Zaalberg potters in Holland. With a deep cobalt neck and shoulder, and multi-chromatic banded body. Akin to Swedish pottery by Nylund, Stalhane, et al. A hefty piece at 16" high, with a 7" diameter at the base. In excellent original condition.
