Mid-Century enamel-on-copper plaque depicting musicians by influential German-born American enamel artist Karl Drerup (1904-2000). Trained as a painter and graphic artist, Drerup migrated to the U.S. in 1937, soon switching to enamel as his medium. The vivid colors and painterly stylized abstraction are features of Drerup's work. In a gold-leaf, painted wood, and fabric frame. Initiated lower left. Measurements include the frame.

Condition
Excellent. The enamel is in excellent original condition. The frame has just been professionally touched up and is in fine condition with some minor wear and staining consistent with age.
