Paul Mayen Quadrus Light Table for Habitat (SOLD)

2,800.00

United States
circa 1958

"Quadrus" light table or table light with white glass globe, mahogany frame, and original amber-apricot Lumacryl (plexiglass) top. A rarely seen design by Paul Mayen for Habitat, produced circa 1958. This piece was intended to sit on a table or case piece, or to be placed on the floor as a source of light and side table. The glass globe indicates a pre-1961 production, when Habitat switched to using lumacryl exclusively. Ref: Furniture Forum, Summer 1960 (image attached). Rewired.
