Beautifully formed and glazed stoneware vase with defined foot and tapering neck. From Wilhelm Kage's Farsta series, produced at Gustavsberg, circa 1952. Kage (1889-1960), who trained as an artist and poster designer, was the artistic director at Gustavsberg from 1917-1948. The Farsta series--each piece hand-made, using locally sourced clay--was essentially his body of studio work. Full incised marks on bottom.
