Poster for the Robert Motherwell exhibition "A la Pintura: The Genesis of a Book," held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 1972. Inscribed by Motherwell to Arthur Cohen. Cohen was a publisher and proprietor of the NYC avant-garde bookshop Ex Libris; his wife Elaine Lustig Cohen, whose first husband was the designer Alvin Lustig, was a renowned graphic designer and artist, as well as a proprietor of Ex Libris. Signed "For Arthur Cohen/with love/Robert Motherwell.
